Hello, I'm Rory Clarke — actor, writer, director, and producer with roots in Jamaica, New York City, and Misawa, Japan. As a proud member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA), I've dedicated my career to bringing powerful stories to screen and behind the camera through my company, RAC23. RAC23 is based in Manhattan, New York.

I trained at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA), where I was one of only three American actors to graduate from the program in 2020. Before that, I spent years teaching at the Harlem Children's Zone after-school program — based, as it happens, at the foot of the 369th Regiment Armory, home of the Harlem Hellfighters.

In 2016, I was one of the models scanned and cast in bronze as a Harlem Hellfighter for the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C. — the experience that became the seed for RAC23. Now I'm preparing for a new 3D scan, this time as Henry Johnson himself, bringing that same process full circle into the character I've spent years bringing to life on screen.

I'm the creator of the short film "Henry Johnson" (formerly "Blood Tax"), currently on the festival circuit, researched through historical documents and collaboration with local historians in Albany and the surrounding region.

I've worked on major productions including "Godfather of Harlem" and "Wu-Tang: An American Saga," and appeared in "Across the Universe" and "Freedomland." My voice work includes Grand Theft Auto V ("The Local Population"), national campaigns for McDonald's and Malibu Rum, and readings at the White House and the Smithsonian.

Through RAC23, I aim to bring history into classrooms, connect with fellow creatives, and share stories that deserve to be remembered.
